The Naughty Boys and the Puppy:
A group of naughty boys entered the park and saw a puppy. They picked up a stick and started teasing it. The poor puppy barked loudly and tried to run away. The boys laughed and threw small stones at it. Just then, an old man with a long white beard stood up and said, “Alas!” He walked quickly towards the boys and shouted, “Stop that at once!” The boys became frightened and dropped the stick. The old man picked up the puppy and patted it gently. The puppy wagged its tail and felt safe in his arms. The boys felt ashamed of their behavior. They said sorry to the old man and promised never to hurt any animal again.
