Choose the correct option of the following:

The Correct is:   Bad news usually spreads fast. ('news' is a singular noun)

The Correct is:   If he had come, I would have helped him. (third conditional)

ANSWER= (A)  
The Correct is:   He availed himself of the chance. (reflexive transitive verb)  

9. Many a man have died fighting for the good cause





ANSWER= (B)  
The Correct is:  Many a man has died in fighting for a good cause.  

10. None of the students in this class have failed





ANSWER= (B)  
The Correct is:  None of the students in this class has failed.  

11. She no sooner saw him, she ran away





ANSWER= (C)  
The Correct is:  She no sooner saw him than ran away.   

12. I dislike you abusing others





ANSWER= (C)  
The Correct is:  I dislike your abusing others.

13. Neither she comes nor writes





ANSWER= (D)  
The Correct is:  Neither she comes nor does she write. 

14. We went to the fair and enjoyed much





ANSWER= (C)  
The Correct is:  We went to the fair and enjoyed ourselves much.    

15. I told her that he will help her





ANSWER= (B)  
The Correct is:  I told her that he would help her. (Structure of past tense with past tense) 

16. I shall make him to obey me





ANSWER= (B)  
The Correct is:  I shall make him obey me. (structure of causative verb)

17. She is older than me



ANSWER= (B)  
The Correct is:  She is older than I. (subjective case in comparison)  

18. It should be between you and I.  




ANSWER= (C)  
The Correct is:   It should be between you and me. (objective case is used with 'between')   

19. He is suffering from a fever for a week.  




ANSWER= (B)  
The Poet is   He has been suffering from a fever for a week. (Present Perfect Continuous Tense.   

20. You as well as I is ill.  




ANSWER= (D)  
The Correct is:   You as well as I are ill
